If you know me from my previous blog, then the following information won't shock you. But for the new followers, I'm really big into music. Hip-Hop and rap are my main genres but I enjoy most types of music, from Rock to Jazz to Kpop. You won't find me too far away from my iPod most days and when I'm home, I tend to throw on some music just for kicks. I have my majors that I listen to but one of my biggest enjoyments is listening to those who aren't on the radio, who may or may not be well known yet but that doesn't stop them from making great music. As someone trying to build his own brand, I always try to make it a point to celebrate and showcase these artists in some shape or form. So as part of the new blog, I'm going to start holding a Hot Uncharted Chart, which will showcase some of my favorite songs from these artists. Many of these songs can be found through the artists and their Souncloud, Bandcamp and other various forms of media. Doesn't matter how long these songs have been out--if I'm still listening to them, they are eligible. The number one song is usually the song I’ve been bumping the most during the last few weeks.

The current plan is to do this, at the very least, every two weeks. I know music doesn't always come out at a fast rate so that's subject to change. Be sure to support not only the people on this list but all local artists you appreciate. We're all working towards the same goal so let's help each other.
Know anybody that you think I would like? Got some music that you think we'll get you on my list? Here's the thing, I love the art of music. Music is a lot like writing books. You get to tell people a story, no matter how small that story is. It's personally revealing and it helps me feel connected beyond the beat and lyrics. So send me some fire and maybe you'll end up on the next volume. #StiktothePoint
